A former Tucson real estate agent who pleaded guilty to fraud and forgery last month has been ordered to pay $150,000 by Dec. 31 to settle a claim of consumer fraud and unjust enrichment.
Pima County Superior Court Judge Paul Tang ordered Roy K. Fife, 47, and his wife Caren Fife to pay $150,000 of a $500,000 judgment to Alfred L. Marco by the end of this year.
At issue is how Fife handled the sale of a house at 5436 N. Avenida de la Colina.
According to the court documents, Fife forged "various documents" he submitted into escrow accounts. The property was sold Dec. 10 in a trustee's sale.
Fife was among 36 Arizonans who were charged in a crackdown on mortgage and property fraud that led to charges against 406 people nationwide, according to Tucson Citizen archives.
