Any local eatery that got its start in 2008 and is still around to celebrate its first anniversary deserves a little attention.
Daglios Cheesesteaks and Hoagies, 250 N. Pantano Road, (722-5503), is ushering in 2009 with a host of enhancements:
– Half-price appetizers in the sports lounge from 4 to 7 p.m.
– During all
UA baskeball games, 20% of bars sales will be donated to the
Community Food Bank.
– Starting in February, Daglio's will offer
Beef on Weck and plans to soon add
White Hots to the menu.
– Tuesday nights, they'll bring back an offering from their former restaurant on 22nd Street (
Stopani's). This week's special is homemade Lasagne with salad and garlic bread for $9.95.
Owner
Chuck Stopani also told me he's increased the portions on his cheesesteaks and hoagies and has expanded the children's menu.
Daglio's is open 10 a.m to 9 p.m. Mondays - Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays, and yes, they'll be throwing a party for Eagles fans during the NFC clash against the Cardinals.
