Is your sex live less than you'd like it to be? Do you think the only option for exciting coitus is  a seedy motel room with a stranger you met at the porn shop? Are the only folks who have fun sex in Hollywood hanging out with Hugh Hefner, Viagra and Victoria's Secret models?
Not according to Element Community Church, which bills itself as "a place where you can truly feel free to kick the tires of Christianity, and never be afraid to invite your friends." It is an interdenominational Church with folks from all kinds of backgrounds, said Pastor Jeremiah McDuffie, who is beginning a sex-ed series next month for folks who are serious about getting their groove on with God's blessing.

"There's many perspectives out there on sexuality and  relationships, but there's also a very Godly perspective," said the 27-year-old McDuffie. "The statistics are crazy, from people involved in porn to having so many sexual images on the avearge TV show. The whole world is talking about sex and we think the church needs to put a voice into all that."

McDuffie said there are "great examples" in the Bible of what the sex lives of humans are supposed to look like.

"The Song of Soloman is definiately a good start," he said. "If you read it in modern translation, it is absolutely an erotic love story. But other places in the Bible are also very upfront about how we live our lives. We want to deal with sex in the same way, with up front answers so people won't feel condemned or think their life is in the toilet."

McDuffie knows from where he speaks: He says he there was a time in his life when he was addicted to pornography and "as someone who's been there and done that and nearly had my life destroyed, I can relate to people who might have the issue. There aren't many places you can go where you don't feel you're being condemned to hell for where you are right now."

Element is sending out 35,000 mailers to Tucson homes this week, as well as buying ads in the Arizona Daily Wildcat and the Tucson Weekly - guessing, I suppose, that the demographic the church tries to reach is more likely to read one of those papers rather than the Citizen. If you don't get one of the mailers, but are a believer who'd like to elevate your love-making, here's the basics: First class is Sept. 7, 10:30AM, at Rincon High School. The seminar lasts five weeks. Find out more about it and the church at Element's homepage.

Thanks for the good article. Just so you know it is more then a class, more of non-traditional church service.

If you check the web site you will see that what they are doing is holding their church services now at Rincon HS every Sunday at 10:30

I'm not sure why my tax money should be used to support this cult even if the pastor does have a struggle with porn.

Let him rent a Video Arcade or some place more suitable.

Actually I am 100% positive that everyone who uses a public school has to rent it therefore actually causing you to pay less in tax dollars. Anyway, I wish them the best.

Yeah all churches that use schools pay RENT. So it's actually saving you money in the long run. Believe it or not it's more then $1,000 per month in some cases

tip: I think that you should go check it out. I have a feeling it isn't the pastor saying that he has a struggle with porn---rather, this is something that churches have ignored for a long time and it's time to be real about what is happening in the homes of REAL people.

wow, got the postcard. Talk about sending the wrong message to High School kids! Sex classes at your school. Pretty inappropriate images on card with more info about the high school than the "church". Talk about pandering to the basest segment of our society in the name of religion.
Needless to say, the principle at Rincon had not yet seen the card and was not pleased.

Seems a little pre-occupied to have an article about a church that focuses on sex yet never once mentions Jesus. I thought he was the name of the game.
