Police will use rolling detours for traffic along the route of Monday's immigrant rights march from the South Side to Armory Park downtown.

Drivers should avoid the area of Monday's march, which will start at Ajo Way and 12th Avenue, shift northwest to 10th Avenue up to 18th Street, then turn north on Sixth Avenue to a rally at Armory Park downtown.

Traffic will be barred from those streets while marchers pass through. Streets will be reopened when police see no threat to marchers or motorists.

Police will cordon off a section of downtown near Armory Park. No traffic will be permitted from Scott Avenue to the west, 14th Street to the south, Fourth Avenue to the east and 12th Street to the north during the rally.

Organizers said thousands are expected in the march, which is to begin at 9 a.m. The Armory Park rally is to begin at 12:30 p.m.

Sun Tran bus routes will be altered during the event.

● Route 23 will detour around the march route from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m.

● Routes 7 and 16 will detour from 9:30 until 11 a.m.

● Route 8 will detour around the march and rally areas from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The detours could have a ripple effect through the bus system. Riders are advised to expect delays.

In this country no one, not even Nixon, is (was) above the law, so the Minutemen are one kind of domestic terrorist organization that wants to trap our government (see Arizona statues regarding this issue) since they are inciting the people to disobey the laws and take it into their own hands... much like lynch mobs did in the south during the slavery times.... or like the Nazi youths did before the Holocaust...

we have law enforcement groups in place, we do not need crazy fanatics with guns pretending to defend me or anyone... before they create more problems for the established authorities...

their idea of an "invasion" is just as crazy as Orson Wells martian invasion in the War of Worlds... if they want to fight terrorists they should enlist and go to Iraq or the Middle East... do they have the guts to do it? doubtful...

Instead they pretend to be important and come to our state raising unneeded hell...

Simcox has a record in California, (child abuse) and so do other so called minutemen... check the Southern Poverty Law Center if you don't believe me...

Be aware of those psychos.... they just want to play war games against people they consider "weak"... or whoever they feel is different...

God Bless you all....

J.G. the exact dates that they came here are written down and documented at Ellis Island, foundation and a relative has started a family geneology site with the paperwork. So yes my ancestors came here LEGALLY, and YES we have papers and No they are not historic by any means! You are becoming tiring with your endless assumptions & accusations about me and my family.
Please do not feel sorry for me and you are entitled to your opinion as I am mine and perhaps I think some of your opinions are sad and silly. So be it.
Take Care
And no one more time for you J.G I don't know what the Indians think about my ancestors coming here, I can only assume, which you seem to be an expert at.

When did your ancestors come here? Do you know? Do you have the historic papers or are you just assuming and hoping they came legally? Can you prove it?
