Mexican cop facing pot charge

A Mexican police officer has been indicted in Tucson on charges of possessing a large amount of marijuana - totaling more than seven tons - with the intent to distribute.
According to a U.S. Attorney's Office news release, Ruben Rochin-Gutierrez, 39, of Navajoa, Son., was arrested Tuesday by FBI agents in Tucson.
Rochin-Gutierrez is with Mexico's federal police.
According to the indictment, Rochin-Gutierrez conspired with others on three occasions to distribute marijuana to Tucson and Nogales.
One time the conspiracy was to distribute 9,500 pounds, another time for 2,969 pounds and another for 3,250 pounds.
Rochin-Gutierrez was to be arraigned today.
