Tucson police are looking for the driver of a car who struck a man riding a bicycle Sunday.
The bicyclist, Kyle A. Wassenaar, 50, died of his injuries at a hospital Monday, said Tucson police Officer Linda Galindo.
In a news release, she said detectives determined Wassenaar was riding west across Mission Road near Irvington Place, without a helmet, when he was hit by a vehicle heading north.
Witnesses told police a small red sports car stopped and then "fled from the scene."
Galindo said investigators are trying to determine if drugs, alcohol or speed were a factor in the collision.
Police are asking anyone with information about the driver of the red car to call 88-CRIME or 911.
Kyle was hit aprox around 1:10 & 1:30am he was on is way home from circle k.
